Spring Break!

Here it is--the first day of Spring Break!!! H and I went downtown KC to the chiro. She is doing really well. The other 3 cleaned their rooms. So we have vacuumed, started the laundry and will be ready for real fun tomorrow. I have been down a little bit with a virus, so am glad to be up and around again, as usual.

Jess got back to HU on Sunday. We are thankful that she was headed south before the bad weather came. But the 6-12 inches of snow predicted for Mon-Tues, never happened--yay!!! It is a bit cold, but better than digging out the boots again. As I was saying, I miss having our big girl around. She didn't get alot done if you don't count sleeping, shopping and reading (non-academic). But it was nice to have someone to talk to and laugh with around here. Jess has this big ole annoying laugh that I miss a lot. The summer will be a new adventure---college girl returns home to try to live compatibly with paretns and sisters. Another chapter for the "Parenting for Dummies" series that I'm experiencing first-hand, then will be writing from my fuzzy memories.

All for now---the laundry fairy did not come by while I had a cold. Nor does Spring Break apply to laundry. Whatever!!! :)

Hey...do you think the Laundry Fairy got fired??? I've been waiting and waiting on her and she's been a no-show! Of course, her cousin "Kitchen Fairy" hasn't been here in a while, either! I enjoyed fixing a few new recipes tonight and had a yummy meal, but now I have a mess to clean up. Maybe, I'll leave it tonight and see if she comes tomorrow! ha!

My oldest college student certainly got caught up on sleep, matter of fact, I thought she was storing up sleep credits while here. My other college girl spent the week in LA working. We'll get to see her when we go for Spring Sing. Are you going? We'll be there Wed. night to Fri. morning then we'll head to Dallas for LTC. OK...gotta go and check on bb tournament.....Hook'em Horns! :-) Pattie

Hey Pattie--I'm rooting for your Horns, too! The lone Big 12 team. But if I chose them, then they usually lose, so don't tell them that I'm quietly hoping they win it all!! :)

Not sure about my Spring Sing plans. Our kids are out Fri and Mon, so I prob won't see you---bummer. Will keep you posted....

Glad to hear from you!! Keep cookin!! The chicken nugget and fish stick diet is wearing thin, that's what they get when Mom's been sick. Glad to be better and have warm weather too. Take care. K
